Tamara is the co-owner, and practice administrator, at Whitley Family Dental in Dallas, Texas. She is a dynamic executive that balances strategic thought leadership with tactical execution to design and implement dental office solutions. Tamara brings 30 years of proven business experience to her role from such notable companies as Medco Health Solutions, Cigna, CVS, and ADP. This business experience includes building relationships, maximizing operational efficiencies, developing disaster recovery protocols, ensuring HIPAA /OSHA compliance, administering insurance/benefits, implementing products, services and workflows, developing talent, reengineering processes, and creating metrics that gauge the success of preventive measure implementation. Tamara is a lifetime member of the American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM). During the 2023 national conference, Tamara reached the prestigious distinction of Diplomate, which is the highest level of achievement within AADOM. At the same time, Whitley Family Dental was awarded Dentrix Practice of the Year. At the 2024 national conference, Tamara was named AADOM’s Office Manager of the Year – Single Location. Tamara holds a Black Belt in Six Sigma Process Methodology, and certifications with the OSAP-DALE Foundation Dental Infection Prevention and Control and the American Heart Association CPR basic life support. Tamara has been married to Dr. Bill Whitley for 35 years and enjoys traveling to see their son who works for Penn State Athletics, reading, and cooking.
